About Cicala Caffetteria Italiana

Soft morning light filters through large windows, casting patterns on the minimalist wood tables that fill the small but inviting space. The mood is unpretentious, a quiet refuge that contrasts sharply with the bustle just outside. The hustle of preparing espresso and fresh pastries blends seamlessly with casual chatter, lending a comforting hum to the atmosphere. A glance through Cicala Caffetteria Italiana + photos recently shared hints at the care put into the interior design, from the understated tile backsplashes to subtle Italian accents that nod toward tradition without overwhelming.

The flavors encountered here evoke a sense of familiarity with an artisanal twist, a hallmark of the cafe’s approach. The espresso manifests a smooth richness balanced by slight acidity, paired delightfully with a crisp sfogliatella that manages to retain its delicate flakiness without tipping toward dryness. Observations from Cicala Caffetteria Italiana + reviews highlight how the menu leans toward smaller plates and classic Italian coffee preparations, which, while satisfying, leave some craving more variety in savory options. Nonetheless, the consistency in quality across each offering underscores a thoughtful, disciplined kitchen ethos. Service tends toward warmth and efficiency, hastening the experience without sacrificing cordiality, though peak hours can test the team’s patience.

Feedback found online paints a picture of a neighborhood spot beloved for its reliable comfort and approachable authenticity rather than adventurous innovation. There is quiet value here in simplicity—whether through a perfectly pulled shot of ristretto or a neatly composed cappuccino foam. While some patrons might seek more elaborate fare, the unassuming charm and steady delivery hold their own merit. Overall, Cicala Caffetteria Italiana sustains an experience appreciated by those seeking a genuine Italian cafe rhythm woven into Berlin’s diverse culinary tapestry.

the most authentic italian coffee shop in berlin still , i come here since 2 decades and the coffe and the sweet hard working crew never let me down , guido and the family keep the italian coffe culture and the dolci`s at highest level but for a normal price , not like in all the new coffe places . its like a little trip to italy every morning in the middle of kreuzberg . the other 2 shops are also top , try the salty pleasures too please , besides ofc. the brioche , canolli`s . etc .. but most important its the best coffee. period

Small spot of Cicala Café, ordered big cappuccino (3,8€), pistachio croissant (4,20) and mini one’s (2,5€). Coffee was actually mid, expected sth different but pistachio croissant was really good. I can recommend if you live nearby

I finally found the Roman-style custard cornetto in Berlin... but in a Sicilian cafe. Here are my personal ratings, they are based on my taste. Espresso 9+/10 - typical Italian, no fancy fruity hipster coffee in this cafe. Cornetto: pastry 9+/10 (hmm!!), custard cream 8/10 (has a whiff that doesn't belong to my taste). Chocolate chip ricotta lobster: 10++/10 - you MUST order it, very fresh and crunchy, and the chocolate melts in your mouth with the ricotta hmm!! Arancine: light oily crust -well made but not hmm!!- 8/10; filling: authentic ragu 8++/10 (unfortunately I only tasted the one with ragu see below ). Service: I was sure to give 10/10 -all staff was friendly and helpful- but at home, I found out they didn't give me the "arancine" I ordered: 8--/10. Basically, unless you live in Italy near a great cafe, if you want a great espresso with great fresh, non-laboratory pastries you should take a bike, a motorcycle or a plane and come to this cafe in Berlin.

There's plenty of bees flying around the pastries and outside around the tables, which makes staying there not a very pleasant experience. But it's one of the rare places where you can buy crunchy sfogliatella. I might just take it to go next time

Honestly I enjoyed the place. Girls who work here are very friendly and speak English You can pay with card and take a sit outside. Cappuccino was good and their Pistazie croissant was illegally delicious. They didn’t have heavy cream though

Little cafe in the corner. I ordered Pistacchioso and Pistachio Croissant. I do like the Pistacchioso, the combination of coffee/ espresso with milk, pistachio cream and whipped cream is really good, perfect ratio of bitter sweet. But for the croissants, I find it a little bit too sweet and heavy. They have outdoor seating capacity for about 15 people. I visited on Tuesday around 17:00 and it got busier around 18:00. I had to paid in total of 6,90 € for both of them, I consider it a reasonable price because they really put a lot of pistachio cream for the croissant
